Organic Farming

Nature's Pure Goodness

We practice organic farming. During the summer, we grow pulses like moong and legumes like groundnuts. In the monsoons we grow rice on a large-scale and vegetables like cucumbers, ladyfingers on a small-scale.

We grow tomatoes, brinjals, corn, bottle gourd, radishes, and leafy vegetables like spinach, methi, and dill in the winter.

We maximise on waste management by recycling all bio-degradable waste into compost that is used in the garden.

Sustainability

Care for Creation

At Kondhan we respect Mother Nature, and we sincerely believe in aligning all our activities to environment-friendly, sustainable concepts. Being inspired by the traditional homes of peninsular India that are based on sustainability, we lay utmost emphasis on protecting the natural sophistication of our garden.

Our homestay also contributes to the prosperity of the area by creating opportunities for local people. For your comfort, we have a back-up generator that powers fans and basic lights indoors. We use solar accumulators, for hot running water in the bathroom taps. In the garden, we have consciously chosen species of plants that require less water. We practise waste management by recycling all bio-degradable waste into compost that is used in the garden.
